The Cake Cottage Albury is owned and operated by myself, Lana, and my husband, Terry.

​

Prior to opening our shop, I worked for the Federal Government for 11 years. 

I have always had a creative side and started cake decorating over 10 years ago. 

 

Over the years I have completed many cake courses and still enjoy attending workshops/seminars.

Terry is a qualified baker and currently works in the dairy industry making yoghurt.

I enrolled him into barista school to learn the art of making a great coffee and he has

recently been crowned "the Barista King" at The Cottage.

 

We both like to spend quality time with our children and appreciate the little things in life.

We also love spending time together enjoying the finer things like good quality food, coffee, wine + beer.

 

While travelling to Queensland in January 2018 on a family holiday we spotted 

a "cute little van" serving coffee on the side of the road at Ulmarra, NSW.

The rest of the trip comprised of many conversations and brainstorming sessions

about how we could operate a business and what we would do. 

​

After hours of discussion we decided to just take the leap and establish our

travelling café.

 

Since that time (well literally only 6 months later) we took an even bigger leap

and now operate The Cake Cottage Albury.
